Learn to Meditation in Minutes a Day – Meditation Made Easy For You
Posted by harley No Comments
I’ve always wanted to learn how to meditate, but I never really knew where to start. I bought a bunch of books, but all that did was confuse me. I tried finding a local meditation group, but they all seemed to be hours away from where I lived. I realized very quickly that learning to meditate from a book is next to impossible, because it just doesn’t provide the nuances you need to understand what you are doing.
I heard about guided meditation from a friend and decided to give it a try. The problem was finding a good program that wasn’t too expensive. There are a ton of them on the internet, but after searching for what seemed like months I finally found a few good ones. I started trying the basic techniques and pretty soon I was meditating for 30 minutes with ease. Previously, I couldn’t go longer than 5 minutes without giving up or losing focus.
What guided meditation did for me was take all the guesswork out of it. I didn’t have to read any more books or magazines to try and understand what I was supposed to think or feel. I simply played the CD and let it take me to a higher level. Over time, I learned how to use mantras and breathing exercises to enhance my experience, but that only came after guided meditation gave me the context with which to understand it.
Now, I am able to meditate for longer than I ever have before and I love it so much that I am always looking forward to my next session. Now that I understand the basics, I have a context from which to understand the books I bought. It really is much easier when you follow a process that works, rather than trying to figure things out on your own. In the future, I plan on recommending these programs to all of my friends and family.
In my opinion, guided meditation is the best way to learn how to meditate, especially if you are looking for a beginner meditation guide.
